Australian entrepreneur Jacqui Dunn, creator of the OziLift brand, got her first inspiration from a similar concept in the US. After searching for ceiling storage ideas trying to personally solve the very common problem of a cluttered garage and too little space.
Jacqui was seeking a product that would easily and safely create overhead storage. An entrepreneur at heart, Jacqui saw an opportunity to create a unique product – the first of its kind in Australia – that solves garage storage problems and adheres to stringent AU construction standards.
She has a passion for creating a proudly Australian solution that is safe, strong, compliant, easy to install and use, collaborating with some of Australia’s best engineers and brightest consultants, and utilising the power of Australian know-how.
As a seasoned, innovative Australian entrepreneur with a background in e-commerce product development and a number of successful innovative products to date. Jacqui surrounded herself with a team of top Australian engineers and consultants who have been integral in developing the OziLift motorised storage solution.
Jacqui firstly engaged Jim Hegerty, a locally based mechanical engineer with some 40 plus years’ experience in mining and heavy engineering, to bring her idea to reality. They have worked closely together to design, develop and fine-tune OziLift, focusing on the safety and loading integrity of the motorised overhead garage lift system.
